Q: Is this therapy? Would purchasing the program make you my therapist?
A: No. While I am a therapist, I am not your therapist. This is supposed to be a complement, not a substitute, for therapy. I will not be checking on you regularly. Everything will be prepared in advance and you will consume it on your time.
Q: What will this do for me?
A: This will teach you about the mind and body as it relates to trauma recovery. It will teach you some basic self-regulation skills. Having the ability to self-regulate allows you to make better decisions and have appropriate responses.
Q: What can't this program do for me?
A: This program cannot treat or cure a mental illness. It will not replace therapy. It will not replace classes required by a court, (e.g., anger management).
Q: What if need more help than this.
A: I'm always happy to help people find referrals. The final section of the program will also go in depth into finding good care in your budget. These recommendations are based on my experience in the mental health field in the USA, and may not be applicable to other countries.
